Bamfield 
Bamfield, home base of Swale Rock Fishing Charters is a small village located on the edge of Barkley Sound. First settled by the Huu-Ay-Aht First Nations, Bamfield is separated into two sections East Bamfield is located on the mainland side and directly across is West Bamfield, also known as Mills Peninsula. West Bamfield is accessible by water taxi and of course your fishing guide. Both sides of Bamfield have amenities such as General stores, Accommodations and Pubs. With the rainforest on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Bamfield is truly a beautiful place!
In Bamfield your fishing options are endless. Feeder chinooks ranging in size 7 to 25lbs are present twelve months of the year. Fishing starts to pick up in May and lasts until late September for chinook (king) and coho (silver). The peak months are July to September for the large schools of migrating salmon. If you have a fly rod, don’t forget to bring it for the coho can be quite plentiful. If you are wanting to catch halibut, the best times are May to July for inshore and offshore.
Besides the spectacular fishing, Bamfield is home to the West Coast Trail. With a short hike you can also reach Keeha and Brady's beach. Both are a nice ending to a successful day on the water.
