Barkley Sound is home to some of the largest runs of returning Chinook and Coho Salmon in the Pacific Northwest. The offshore areas are the feeding grounds not only for local fish but also for the returning Fraser, Columbia and Nitnat River Salmon. Barkley Sound and its surrounding area host an abundance of Halibut and other bottom fish such as Lingcod and Red Snapper. You will witness breathtaking scenery and the marine life that call Barkley Sound "home".

NANAIMO CHINOOKS
Swale Rock Fishing Adventures will now be offering fishing charters in the Nanaimo area. Our Nanaimo season will start April 1 2009 and run until May 31 2009. The charters will be discounted for the early season. So far the Nanaimo winter fishery has been good, with fish reaching into the 20lb+ range. Crab traps will be set which just adds to the success of the day
